Bio: Rev. Peter Elencovf (e-len-co) was brought to the United States in 1951 by the Methodist relief program. The Marlboro United Methodist Church (Marlboro, Ohio), sponsored his family. Even though he was raised as an Eastern Orthadox, his involvement in The United Methodist Church has been lifelong. Peter attended Mount Union College, a Methodist school, and in 1973 graduated with a B.A. in Theatre Arts. Peter went on to earn credit towards an M.FA in Technical Management at U-Conn before embarking on a career as a technical/stage manager in New York City. In 1980, the Lord called him to ministry. Having first attended New York Theological Seminary, and in 1986 he completed his Master of Devinity at METHSCO in Delaware, OH. He extended his education further by recieving an M.A. in Drug and Alcohol ministry in 1993. Since becoming a pastor he has served at several small churches. In 1993, Peter served as an Associate Pastor of out reach at the First United Methodist Church of Warren, Pennsylvania. Since returning to Ohio in 1996, he has continued pastoring small country churches. As pastor he has many responsibilities which include: preaching, teaching, and administring to the needs of those in the community. Peter and his wife, Annie, have 4 grown children, all currently attending college. |
